At the 2009 Phi Sigma Kappa convention, Xi Septaton chapter received a Most Improved Chapter Award. Current chapter Vice President Steve Dunn received a coveted Order of the Diamond Circle award. This is one of the highest honors that Phi Sigma Kappa offers its undergraduate members. Sean Shingler, long-time Xi Septaton Chapter Advisor and one of the chapter founders, has been given a position on Phi Sigma Kappa's Grand Council. Brother Shingler will maintain his role as Regional Advisor of Region X but will step back from the role of Xi Septaton Chapter Advisor. Congratulations to Sean Shingler, Steve Dunn, and the entire Xi Septaton chapter!

Tyler King has been voted the 2009-2010 Student Government Vice President and Patrick Hedger has been voted one of the 2009-2010 Student Government Senators.
